Fight Lab is an excellent place to get in shape, while also learning and developing your skills in both stand-up fighting and ground fighting techniques. It offers a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and encourages individuals to push their limits.

Head Coach/Owner: Coach Matt

Coach Matt “The Messenger” Davis trained under Landon Showalter out of Arlington Kickboxing Academy in Arlington,WA. Matt spent many years training in MMA, Kickboxing and BJJ as well as competing and eventually coaching and cornering competitors.

Matt moved to Hesperia several years ago and struggled to find the right fitting gym that was like the home gym he had in the Pacific North West.

In 2021 Matt began piecing together an at home MMA gym and began dreaming up Fight Lab. Eventually taking on students and creating an environment that is both fun and educational. A place that you can get in shape, learn martial arts and test them practically in a safe controlled area.

Coach Matt looks forward to serving the high desert to the best of his abilities.

Coach JD “Unhinged” Houston is an Amateur fighter with 10 years of Experience. Currently a BJJ purple belt and actively competing in No-Gi and MMA. He coaches a 3PM MMA class through the week and works well with up and coming fighters and competitors.

Coach RJ “RJD2” Trujillo is an Amateur fighter that began training with Coach Matt in 2024. He currently assists with kids club and adults as well as helping coach and corner at fights and tournaments.

Coach Jordan Hartsfeild is an USMC veteran, from Jacksonville Florida, who has been training in martial arts since a young age. He is currently a blue belt in BJJ, holds a brown belt in Karate and also received his black belt in Marine Corps Marital Arts. He regularly competes in gi and no-gi tournaments and trains with the fight team. Jordan helps coach Kids Club in the gym and at tournaments.
